  • FIVE BROTHERS IN ARMED FORCES; THREE REPORTED SAFE AFTER PRISONERS OF WAR. —Mr and Mrs J. Williams, of 154 Tainui street, Greymouth, have five sons, all of whom are serving: with the armed forces. Three of them are reported safe In England after having been prisoners of war for a considerable period.

    Private Eric Williams, missing at El Alamein, subsequently reported as prisoner of war, and now released. Private Bert Williams, wounded and missing in Crete and recently released as prisoner of war. Sergeant Leslie P. Williams, taken prisoner of war in Crete four years ago and now safe in England. Corporal Edward Williams, who has been serving for the last two and a half years with the 8th Army in the Mediterranean theatre. Aircraftman M. A.
