  • William was the son of Arthur Morton and Ellen Christina nee Bell. Arthur was born in London, England and married Ellen in England. William's siblings born in NZ were Herbert Daniel Morton, Ellen Christina Morton (junior), Arthur Robert Morton and Arthur Morton.
    Williams father Arthur Morton was a retired Lorry driver from Moa Point, Wellington, NZ, he died age 71 on 30 April 1956 and was cremated at Karori, Wellington.
    Williams paternal grandparents were Mr Hastings Morton and Fanny nee McNaught.

    Williams wife was Peggy Morton, they married in Palmerston North, NZ. Peggy was born on 23 Sept 1924, at time of her death, was a retired clerical worker of 32/38 Golf Rd, Titirangi, Auckland, NZ. Peggy died age 70 on 10 April 1995.
