  • Returned to Auckland 6 July 1942; Departed New Caledonia 28 December 1942; Departed Necal 4/9/42 for Guadalcanal and Treasury Islands, 9 October 1943. In Pacific until 14 July 1944. On leave and training in New Zealand. Departed from Wellington via Colombo to Gulf of Aden, 21 April 1945.

    His major army occupation was to establish a Concert party for the Brigade, which became known as the Tui Party. He was the producer. later joined the Kiwi Concert Party in 1944 and 1945. AWMM
