  • Jimmy was the son of Robert and Gertrude Holms(nee Herbert). His father was to die at a relatively early age of 43 as a result of a combination of WW1 gassing and wounds. Cousin of Grant, Ian and Bob Holms who also served in the 2NZEF 1939-45.
