  • Our mate Daygo did not die of a motor cycle accident. He had a heart attack in his sleep when on Christmas leave. This is information from the 2 soldiers who were on leave with him and the soldier who returned him to Aotearoa (BR) Lest we Forget.
    Report
  • C45588 Paul Hector Joshua (Daygo) DAY (C Company N73/75 & Tpt Plt - 29 May 1977 - 1 January 1978) aged 23 (MVA). Sala Street Cemetery, Rotorua, Block 8, Sect J, Plot 48 [-38.153419, 176.263909] LEST WE FORGET (all information supplied to AWMM by seava.co.nz) Daygo was a great friend to many and a comrade to all. ONWARD.
    Report
  • Daygo died in a motor cycle accident at no fault of his own, whilst serving his country on a 2 year Tour of Duty with "New Zealand Forces South Seat Asia" as part of the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment. Remember this brave soldier who was sent far away from his home, friends and whanau. Died in a foreign land as he was willing to put his life on the line for his country and the fight for freedom. Lest we Forget.
