(Yellow Jackets was the Administration Company Rugby Team = Transport Platoon, 1 RNZIR Band, Catering Platoon, Quartermaster Platoon, Light Aid Detachment (LAD) mechanics, Regimental Aid Post (RAP) medics) - I guess they called him "Bluer" as the little guy could scrap on the rugby field and hold above his weight)

....... I was also fortunately permitted to identify him at the morgue, for official business for his final trip back home to New Zealand. His passing definitely effected the platoon, to every man in the transport platoon Tim was a special man as he had a totally independent mind, possibly the main reason for being placed into the platoon right, LEST WE FORGET."

"He and I worked along side each other for three years, he definitely was a extremely popular and funny little man. As he was on a lone job up in Terendak Camp (Malaysia) with one of the rifle companies, he requested vehicle maintenance, so myself and the mechanic drove up to Terandak, staying with him in a lone old rundown barracks. Strangely enough I never used the mosquito net's as he would religiously do so, in the morning he had one bite and I had hundred's. Within three day's after I got back to Singapore he was flown under emergency services to the Glen Eagles hospital in a very series condition, I was fortunate enough to visit him at midnight as no visitors permitted, sadly he passed away minutes after we left him. As we all understand the army moves slowly so I didn't know till 7am, as I was also fortunately permitted to identify him at the morgue, for official business for foll
