      Also served at HMNZS Wakefield, Wellington.

      I joined the Navy as my mother had been a WREN during the Second World War. I enjoyed my time in the Wrens and the various jobs in gaining experience and confidence with each promotion and posting. I left as a Petty Officer Wren. I had married and was expecting my first child. That child went on to join the Air Force when she was 21. She enjoyed parades! AWMM
    • August 1971 to July 1972 - Wren, Cash Office, HMNZS PHILOMEL.
      July 1972 to March 1974 - Bookwriting Team, Defence Headquarters, 3rd floor, Stout Street, Wellington, HMNZS WAKEFIELD. (Promoted to Leading Wren in May 1973).
      March 1974 to December 1974 - Leading Wren, Fleet Examination Centre, Comauck, HMNZS PHILOMEL.
      December 1974 to August 1976 - Petty Officer, Housing and Social Services office beside the main gate, HMNZS PHILOMEL.
