  • Believed to be the last survivor of the Otago Mounted Rifles, Mr Anderson trained as a dispatch rider at Burnham Military Camp before transferring to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Public source.

    After the War he assisted with the repatriation of returning servicemen in Wellington and trained as a Carpenter in Dunedin.

    He married his wife June in 1952 with whom he had three children.
