  • Employed as a clerk in the Railway Department in New Plymouth before enlistment. Was unable to enlist in New Zealand due to age so went to Australia and enlisted there. Embarked with the 10th Reinforcements and was posted to the 1st Australian Light Horse. Later served in the Composite Australian Light Horse Regiment.

    Son of Alfred and Mary Ann Creed, nee Lloyd of 216, Hardy St., Nelson, one of 7 children. AWMM
