  • Tepaki Poaza joined the World War One enlistment with his two brothers from his fathers first marriage to Teararoa; John Mokotupu and Mataio Mokotupu.

    His first cousin also joined with them. Teina Mokoenga. Teina Mokoenga's mother and Tepaki Poaza's father were Brother and sister.
