POW serial number
Service in the RNZAF in WW2, from September 1942 to 1946, stationed in Fiji and Tonga. Trained for aircrew and was later transferred to Accounts Section.
Embarked on the SS Ormonde, in Wellington, Main Body for Korea. Entered Korea 31 Dec, 1950. Techinical Assistant Training and Reinforcment Battery, then moved to 162 Bty.
Attended a course at the Commonwealth Artillery Training Centre, Hiro, Japan 8-16 Jan 1952. Emplaned at Iwakuni 20 Jan 1952 for RTNZ and travelled by air via Okinawa, Manila, Darwin and Sydney as a Temporary Sergeant. Posted to Waiouru to assist with the training of Technical Assistants for reinforcements for Korea until discharge from Kayforce. AWMM
