  • Served with the New Zealand Army, Amoured Regiment from 21 August 1940 to 22 October 1942, and then transferred to the Royal New Zealand Air Force from 23 October to 25 November 1945. He was an Instructor in Discipline and Weapons training and served in Espiritu Santo from 18 June 1943 to 3rd August 1943 and in Guadalcanal from 3rd of August 1943 ato the 31st June 1944. AWMM
