  • In May 1941, whilst on a raid on Crete, Flight Lieutenant Malpas suffered Engine Failure and was forced into landing into the sea, the crew were 140 miles nort of Maaten Bagush and were rescued by a cruiser near by (Goldfish Club). AWMM
