  • In July 1943, Sergeant Sharp was shot down from 19,000 feet by a Japanese Zero, forcing him to bail out, Sergeant Sharp spent 45 minutes in the ocean before being picked up by American Higgins Boat and taken back to US Army Rendova (Goldfish Club). AWMM
