  • From Hanson, Served with the Territorial Air Force 1 December 1948 - 1 June 1949, Royal New Zealand Air Force 1 June 1954 to 5 July 1959, Air Training Corps (72 School Unit), 15 June `962 to 2 May 1966; Pilot, then Education. "No 218 Squadron was born a Main Force and a Special Duties squadron, with Flight Lieutenant Cook taking part in both types of operational flying. Following his tour Flight Lieutenant Cook served as a flying instructor, on Wellingtons, Jan-Oct 1945. Post War he was an educational officer at RNZAF Whenuapai." p. 133. AWMM
