"No 218 Squadron was born a Main Force and a Special Duties squadron, with Flight Lieutenant Cook taking part in both types of operational flying. Following his tour Flight Lieutenant Cook served as a flying instructor, on Wellingtons, Jan-Oct 1945. Post War he was an educational officer at RNZAF Whenuapai." p. 133. AWMM
