    • Clarence James Berryman, date of death 23 August 2017 (deaths.press.co.nz)

"After leaving the air force, he spent about seven years working as an examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, before a 15-year stint as a commercial pilot with Mount Cook Airlines.

His final job in the aviation industry was as a flight simulation instructor based in Christchurch and Auckland, for about a decade, until the early 1980s."

Clarry was involved in supporting the RNZAF through simulator instruction on Air New Zealand's F-27 Friendship through to 1989. Public - Rodney - 20 December 2021 - In 1989 Clarry instructed me on AirNZ's F-27 simulator for the RNZAF. I understand the RNZAF arranged this through AirNZ, as Clarry didn't need to be 'current'. A super instructor who later trained me to operate and instruct on the simulator.

Saddned to hear of his passing as reported in 2017: https://deaths.press.co.nz/nz/obituaries/the-press-nz/name/clarence-berryman-obituary?n=clarence-berryman&pid=186483851&referrer=3329
