    • F/S (RTD) Raymond John Laurance NZ432454 RNZAF 1 March 1943 to 17 October 1947 Health & Sanitation passed away 3 May 23 in Auckland Hospital.
      F/S Laurance falsified his age and signed up at age13 and went to war at 14. He served in the islands on the medical team as a H&S specialist. (Health and sanitation ). He was accredited as removing the Gnofolies mosquitoes from the islands. Then part of BCOM in Japan for 1 year. He was TF (Ohakea) from 1947 to about 1955 and served in Harewood, Rongotai, Masterton, Redwood Park Swanson (now the site of the RSA). Then in 1944 Esperato Santos, Guadacanal, Bouganville (camp Rata), Emerau (5SU). 1945 Port Depot Market Road, 1946 Jan 14 Sqn Ardmore then to Ewacuni JAPAN April to Nov 47 and discharged Whenuaai.
