    BOORMAN, Reg (Reginald George):
Labour MP for Wairarapa 1984-1988, First Battalion First NZ Regiment Malaya 1957.
It is with heavy hearts that we advise that Reg succumbed to illness at home on Sunday October 30, 2016. Reg has been well loved and the best mate of wife Pauline Moran for some 30 years and previously a husband to Carol McAlpine (Nelson). He was so very proud of his boys Chris and Phillip Boorman, and Gareth and Regan Phipps. Many of you know just how proud he was of his granddaughters Mischa, Lucy and Lily. He was a good friend to his daughters-in-law Brydie Thompson (Papamoa), Jessica Mooney (Wellington), and Laura Phipps (New Plymouth). He was a loved brother and brother-in-law of Lurline and David, Irene and David, Selwyn and Helen, Jackie, Pat and Sue and Brian and Denise. Loved uncle and friend to many. The family invites you to attend a celebration of Reg's life at the Liberty Centre 65 Wairaka Road, Whakatane on Wednesday, 2 November at 2pm. Floral tributes are welcome or you can donate in Reg's memory to EBOP Hospice, PO Box 275 Whakatane or maybe left at the service. As a family we wish to thank our great Hospice and Whakatane Hospital staff, Dr Sangita Bharatia and the staff at Total Health and Adamsons Pharmacy who have all been so supportive of us during Reg's illness.
