  • Pre WW2 he was a Pilot and then during WW2 he became an Armament Officer and was Officer Commanding the Armament School at Wigram in 1942. He was CO of RNZAF Field Headquarters on Emirau and then became Commanding Officer of RNZAF Bases Gisborne, Levin, Mechanics Bay and Wigram again.
