    N825597 Captain RNZEME; RNZIR (Borneo, Malaysia). Of Ashhurst. Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 8 July 2023. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved partner of Barbara and special friend of the Yeoman family. Much loved brother and brother in law of Betty (Brisbane), Mary, and the late Jim (Auckland). Loved father and father in law of Greg and Sue, Jason and Donna, Simeon and Janine (Christchurch), and Wendy (Darwin). Loved grandad 'Legs' of Arthur, Ron, Cienna, Reesi, Kobi, Brady, and Campbell. A lifelong RC modeller and enthusiastic Aeroneer. Grateful thanks to the staff of Kauri Health, Palmerston North Hospital, and the Life Flight team for their dedicated care of Les in recent years. Messages to the Cole family, C/- PO Box 1014, Palmerston North 4440. By request, a private service has been held. "The sky is calling and I must go".
