  • Proceeded to join Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 12 April 1915.
    Reported wounded, Gallipoli, 25 April 1915; subsequently reported wounded and missing (no date).
    Court of Enquiry held at Serapeum, Egypt, 6-8-28 April 1916, declared killed in action, 25 April 1915.

    The deceased left behind a daughter, Daisy Anderson. The mother of the child, Miss Barbara Anderson of Garden Vale, Victoria, requested the deceased's war medals in trust of his daughter. The next of kin, Mr Partride, did not believe that this girl had any right to his medals at all. The medals and memorial plaque were given to Miss Barbara Anderson; his brother received the memorial scroll. AWMM
