  • I believe James Callan is the younger brother of Alexander Callan . They were the only children of Sarah Annie Callan , nee Francis of the Awatere Valley/ Seddon area of Marlborough. He was working in Australia when the war broke out and enlisted there. His brother was killed at Gallipoli on 22/06/1915. If it is him, he was known to my family ( he was my grandmother's cousin ) as Todd Callan.
