Admitted to Convalescent Depot, Dacrour, 11 October 1916 (dental caries); transferred to hospital, Cairo, 20 October 1916; discharged to Australian Reserve, ICC, 24 October 1916; marched out to No 4 Company, ICC, 4 November 1916. Taken on strength, 1st Anzac Bn, ICC, 11 November 1916.
    Found guilty, 5 January 1917, of neglect of duty while on line guard, failing to awaken the next relief at the proper time: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2.
