    On D-Day (6 June 1944), Moore was responsible for the navigational instruments of the crafts that landed on Juno beach and for the naval firefighter ships at Littlehampton in Sussex.

    Moore received the Medal of Knight of the French National Order of the Legion of Honour on the 12th of February 2015. AWMM
