  • Athol Shearer was on 2nd December 1919 and died on the 11 March 2008. He was from a family of 11. Ester,Jean,John,Elizabeth,Margaret,Ellen,Peter,Hugh,Keith and Roderick. Athols brother Hugh also fought in WW2. His brothers Peter and Keith were trained and ready to go to war when it ended. (They were awarded medals for their contribution to the war effort)
