  • Enlisted in 1964, he served with 1RNZIR in 8 Pl, C Coy 1965/66. Completed both tours of Borneo. On RTNZ in Nov 1966, he Corps changed to RNZA, trained as Gun No and served with 161 Bty on No 3 gun 1967 with RTNZ Dec 1968. . Was present for Battle of Coral May 1968. Died in Silverstream, Lower Hutt and privately cremated. AWMM

    Peacefully at Heretaunga Rest Home, Silverstream on Monday, 17 May 2021.

    Beloved husband of Judy.

    John was a much loved brother and uncle, member of the Naenae and Silverstream Bowling Clubs, an active member of the RSA and friend to many.
