    • Air force cadets' leader killed in road smash
02 Aug, 2011 - Air force cadets are mourning the loss of their leader Henry Bridge. Mr Bridge, 65, of Kadina, was killed in a head-on crash on Port Broughton Road on Thursday night, July 28. He was on his way home after his weekly trip to Port Pirie to conduct cadet training. Mr Bridge had served as a private in the New Zealand Army during the Vietnam War.
He told of his involvement in the military in an interview with The Recorder after Anzac Day. The crash also claimed the life of a 31-year-old Port Pirie man. The vehicles were driving in opposite directions when they collided near Clements Gap at 10.30pm. There were no passengers in either vehicle and both drivers died at the scene. Police are continuing their inquiries and have encouraged anyone who saw the crash to contact them. Mr Bridge was the instructor for Port Pirie’s Air Force Cadets and a dedicated Freemason. Local Freemasons’ secretary Les Rich said Mr Bridge would be sadly missed.
“He was a very nice person who took his Freemasonry seriously,” he said. Public - Lorraine M - Other relative - 17 January 2016 - News Report - Research
