  • Surgeon with first deployment of NZSMT 1967. Trained in Canada, joined Fleet Air Arm RN 1943-1945, returned from WW2 service and trained as a doctor, entered into NZ Army with scholarship for studies in paediatrics Great Ormond Hospital, London. Returned to NZ later transferred to NZ Navy from whence he served in Vietnam.
