  • During Johns Tour of Duty to 1 RNZIR (Dieppe Barracks) John's wife, Joy Mamae HAYWARD was a valued member of the NZ Force Maori Culture Group (MCG). The MCG done volunteer work for the NZ High Commission, the NZ Trade Promotions Board and other organisations around Singapore, and Malaysia promoting NZ culture and doing public relations work, providing culture performances at Embassies, High Commissions & various venues. "Kia mau to maoritanga"
