  • Served in 161 Battery, Royal New Zealand Artillery in 1965/66 in the original Battery at Bien Hoa when attached to 173 Brigade (Sep) US Army. He was the Driver/Crewman on No. 4 Gun. This Gun fired the 1st round on arrival of the Battery in South Vietnam in July 1965. He also participated in Operation Powderhorn to the UK in late 1964. Source: Last Post. AWMM
