  • Wounded in action, 23 November 1970 – gunshot wound to left arm and stomach while on patrol.

    Enlisted as a Regular Force Cadet in Gentry Class 1962. Graduated into NZ Regiment/Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment. Posted to 2 NZ Regiment, then passed selection for NZSAS on No.8 Course April 1964. He then served in the 1st and 4th Detachments of 3 Troop in Borneo. Then served in 2 Detachment in 4 Troop in South Vietnam. He was Wounded In Action just before due to RTNZ. Source: Last Post.

    Served as a Platoon Medic in Borneo, working with the Punan people. Source: Fight Times.

    Later employed as a Specialist Stores Manager with the NZSAS and subsequently manager of the Battle Training Facility. Retired in February 2003. AWMM
