Medevaced on 15 Oct 1965 back to New Zealand for recovery. Read citation for Mi9D. Retired in rank of Capt on 1 Aug 1986. Died in Whakatane Hospital. Buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Ohope Road, Whakatane. AWMM

    MORROW, Douglas Thomas Arthur (Doug). Regtl No 209482 NZ Army Captain. On Thursday 11th October 2018 peacefully in Whakatane Hospital after a very short illness, aged 76. Loved husband of the late Grace. Loved father and father in law of Stuart and Suzy (USA), Bryan and Ruth. A much loved grandfather and great grandfather. A funeral service for Doug will be held in the chapel of Willetts Funeral Services Ltd, 21 King Street, Whakatane on Tuesday 16th October at 10.30am followed by burial in the New Lawn Memorial section of Hillcrest Cemetery, Ohope Road, Whakatane.
