    • George was a Corporal on his second tour to SVN (14Nov69-10Nov70) not a Gunner (dont have gunner rank in Infantry). He was the Section Commander of 3 Section, 3 Platoon. (W333). His section consisted of; Cpl George Preston (Sect Comd), LCpl Sammy Samson (Sect 2IC), Len Portland, Bob Newson, Tom Cooper, Greg Taukiri, Mike Ngatae.     • George was not a Gunner on his first tour to Vietnam, he was an Infantry Private attached to 161 Battery as an Operator/Driver/Signaler in the FO Party (Forward Observation) with the Australian Infantry Battalions (mainly 3 Bn RAR). 161 Battery RNZA fired the guns from the Gun Line but they had FO partys (x1 RNZA officer & x1 signaler) grunting with the Infantry Battalions to call in the artillery when needed.
