  • Regular Force cadet from 1961 (Stewart) class. Transferred to the Royal New Zealand Artillery in late 1962. Served in the NZSAS 1964-1965 before going to Vietnam in the original 161 Battery RNZA in 1965. Attached to 1RAR at Bien Hoa and 6RAR at Nui Dat as a radio operator in a FO party. With B Company, 6RAR at the Battle of Long Tan. Left the New Zealand Army in 1967 and continued to work for the New Zealand Government until retirement in September 2010. AWMM
