    Involved in the retrieval of bodies from the 1979 Mt. Erebus disaster, on behalf of the Army.

    One of the soldiers that guarded the entrance to Auckland's Government House when Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales stayed there in 1983.

    His second name came from Dobson Paikea, New Zealand's first Maori Minister of Defence. AWMM
