    Found guilty, 13 July 1916, of desertion from 13 July until apprehended by Military Police, 19 August 1916: awarded 60 days' detention, and forfeiture of 38 days' pay.
    Found guilty, 12 September 1916, of while under arrest disobeying an NCO: awarded 3 days' close confinement, and deprived of rations.
    Tried by District Court Martial, Sling Camp, September 1916, on charge of desertion: found 'Not guilty', 21 September 1916, but 'Guilty' of being absent without leave: awarded 60 days' detention.

    Found guilty, 25 January 1917, of (1) being absent without leave from 11.45 pm, 25 January 1917, until apprehended, 1335, 1 February 1917; (2) resisting Military Police; (3) impersonation, wearing wounded stripes: awarded 14 days' detention, and forfeited 8 days' pay under Royal Warrant.
    Found guilty, 17 March 1917, of being absent without leave from 8 am, 6 March 1917, until 11 am, 17 March 1917: awarded 7 days' confined to barracks, and forfeited 2 days' pay under Royal Warrant.
    Discharged as a deserter, 9 May 1917.
