  • A distinguished flying instructor, Squadron Leader Eccersall was posted to 2 SFTS, Woodbourne and the CFS, Tauranga before a tour in the Pacific with 17 Squadron, RNZAF, in the Second World War. He went on to a very successful career in the RNZAF post-war for which he was awarded the MBE in 1959.
