  • Born Wellington, moved to Thames, in 1913 moved to Britain & married - was serving in the salvage tug as senior engineer when taken over by the RN in June 1916 - was appointed to the RNR as a Lieutenant 1916 - 14 June 1917 tug made fleet auxiliary - hospitalised September 1917 & removed from RNR 14/9/1917 - he died a year later & was buried Hartlepool North Cemetary New E.C. 11b age 32 - note this is a CWGC according to their site even though at time of his death he was discharged from the RNR AWMM
