    Initally served in the Quartermaster stores and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant before reverting to Corporal. Attested again in November 1919, stated D.O.B. as 25 October 1879.

    William Henry Douglas also served in Diamond Fields Horse during the South African war. AWMM
