  • Cecil Fisher was the son of Captain Stephen Fisher and Mother Ann Fisher who arrived in New Zealand on the "Charlotte Jane" December 16th 1850. Farmed at "Beckenham".

    Cecil was schooled at Christ's College, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand and went to the Gold Fields at Kalgoorlie, WA about 1899/1900 with his brother.

    He enlisted for the war in Kaloorlie. Discharge date not known - records were accidentally destroyed in South Aftrica by Army. Discharged end of 12 month service period. No photos of documents remain for this many, and his name appears on no memorials. AWMM
