  • Wife pregnant before he embarked, returned to meet his 3-4 year old daughter. Later had one son and two more daughters. Lived the rest of his life in Dunedin. Mostly self-employed. Built his own family home in Corstorphine, Dunedin. Seldom talked about his wartime experiences until very late in his life. Family source.
