    RIFLEMAN D. McQUARRIE - Rifleman Dugald McQuarrie, killed in action in France, on August 22, was a son of the late Captain Hector McQuarrie, shipbuilder, Parnell. Rifleman McQuarrie, who left New Zealand with the thirty-fourth reinforcements, had for some years been farming in the Waikato.
