    RIFLEMAN D. McQUARRIE - Rifleman Dugald McQuarrie, killed in action in France, on August 22, was a son of the late Captain Hector McQuarrie, shipbuilder, Parnell. Rifleman McQuarrie, who left New Zealand with the thirty-fourth reinforcements, had for some years been farming in the Waikato.   • My great uncle Dugald was a twin and he and his twin brother Kenneth fought in the first world war. I wish I knew more about him but even though I don't know much I am still proud that he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
