    Embarked Wellington on board HMNZT 'Tofua', 13 November 1917; disembarked Suez, 21 November 1917, and posted to NZ Mounted Rifles Training Regiment.
    Posted to Canterbury Mounted Rifles Regiment, 3 March 1918, and reverted to rank of Trooper at own request.
    Posted to 10th Squadron, Canterbury Mounted Rifles Regiment, 5 May 1918.
    Admitted to 66th Casualty Clearing Station, 27 June 1918 (fever); transferred to 76th Stationary Hospital, Gaza, 1 July 1918; to 44th Stationary Hospital, Kantara, 4 July 1918; to 27th General Hospital, Abbassia, 5 July 1918; to Aotea Convalescent Hospital, Heliopolis, 25 July 1918. Rejoined Training Regiment, Ismailia, from hospital, 14 August 1918. Detached to Rest Camp, 15 August 1918; rejoined Training Regiment, 6 September 1918.
