  • Walter Henry Bishop...B 19/05/1889-29/09/1957 (my grandfather's cousin) was a farmer and the son of William Henry and Elizabeth Bishop (nee Cole) of Bell Block, New Plymouth.After 2 1/2 years war service he returned home to marry Myrtle Gunson and raise a family. He died age 68 years and is buried with his wife Myrtle in the Te Henui cemetery New Plymouth.His brother William Frederick Bishop also served in WW1, as did my grandfather Ernest John Bishop, and his brother Reginald Christopher Bishop.
