  • This is a link to an article published in The Dubbo Liberal and Macquarie Advocate (NSW : 1894 - 1954). The article relates to a son of a well known local family being killed in action in France. That solider was my Great Uncle George Henry Bourke. George had lived and worked around Ohakune and knew the Benbow brothers. The article has reprinted most of a letter from Mr C J Benbow, who I think is Thomas' brother, to George's family. "Tom" is mentioned in the article. http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/75564010
