  • I may be a relative, not sure. But I have visited your memorial plaque at Ari Burnu cemetery in a most moving personal experience. I had fully immersed myself in the whole Anzac Cove experience - trying to visualize and imagine the chaos and horror our Anzac soldiers must have faced. To enhance my experience I waded out into the sea so I could make that infamous journey across the beach and onto land. So immersed was I in my virtual reality - that I had walked passed several rows of headstones before pausing to acknowledge those who lay there. I looked first up into the hills and then down to the plaque immediately to my left - and there you were - James Bennet, (and a Bennet with one 't' no less and so therefore quite possibly a relative). Whether or not we are related James - you are now my very personal connection to Gallopoli, the Anzac's, forever in my memory. RIP
