    Appointed Lance Corporal, 25 April 1918.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 20 July 1918, and relinquished appointment as Lance Corporal.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Portsmouth on board SS 'Baranga', 4 March 1919; disembarked Newport, Nova Scotia, 25 March 1919; re-embarked, 29 March 1919; discharged, 27 May 1919.
    Total war service: 2 years 20 days (of which 1 year 160 days was abroad)
