  • Embarked Wellington, 31 December 1917; disembarked Glasgow, Scotland, 25 February 1918, and admitted to No 3 Scottish General Hospital, Glasgow (ICT left arm); transferred to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames, 1 April 1918; to NZ Convalescent Home, Hornchurch, 5 April 1918; discharged to Codford, 2 May 1918.
    Marched in to Reserve Bn, New Zealand Rifle Brigade, Brocton, 24 June 1918.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 11 September 1918; marched in to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 13 September 1918.
    Joined D Company, 1st Bn, 3rd New Zealand Rifle Brigade, in the field, 17 September 1918.
    Wounded in action, and admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 5 October 1918; transferred to No 49 Casualty Clearing Station, 6 October 1918; to No 26 General Hospital, Etaples, 8 October 1918; embarked for the United Kingdom, and admitted to Endell Street Hospital, London, 18 October 1918 (gunshot wound right side, left thigh, left shoulder); discharged on leave, 6 December 1918, to report to NZ Convalescent Home, Hornchurch, 21 December 1918.
